9070XT undervolt guide by AbsolutIndisch (Click Read More)
If you have any improvements in mind regarding this post, please attach a comment with the mentioned improvement.
1) First install 25.3.2 WHQL recommended driver (or newer if exists, if facing issues, downgrade to this)
1.5) Install steel nomad dx12 (available in steam as demo) and GPU-Z
[I said steel nomad DX12 specifically because it has a tendency to crash on this GPU more than DX12 games do]
2) Set GPU Tuning control to "Custom", unlock memory tuning and set to 2800mhz and enable fast timing (if system immediately crashes then set to 2700)
3) Start with -50mv offset and drop the power limit by 5%
4) Drop the milivolts until it crashes in steel nomad dx12 (dx11 has a tendency to be stable at way lower undervolts, DX12 tuning ensures it's stable everywhere)
5) Raise the milivolts by 10 or 5 once it crashes
This is what I ended up with:
6) Increase clock offset by +50 and keep increasing by 50 up-to 150, if it's stable at that then good enough, anything higher doesn't do anything positive, If it does not do anything, leave it at 0.
Mine was able to go up to 150.
7) Enable fan tuning and bump the curve from the middle into a straight diagonal line such that it's doing more rpms in the middle range
8) Raise that -5% power limit and monitor temps on GPU-Z until you're happy with what you have, DO NOT let memory temps go above 95°c
8.5) Alternatively, set lower limit to -15% for low temps 1080p gaming
This is my Final Tune:
Enjoy your more efficient GPU!
